And Don’t Call Hitler German

A quote from The Daily Mail, 17 January 2008
[The British Government has] adopted a new language for declarations on Islamic terrorism. In future, fanatics will be referred to as pursuing “anti-Islamic activity”. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said that extremists were behaving contrary to their faith, rather than acting in the name of Islam.
Good luck Gordon Brown !!

That the British gov. thinks that it has that much control over public opinion is laughable.
What are they trying to do exactly - when if those same Muslims - they purport this new language will protect - had a chance to live under an Islamic Britain most would jump at the chance. And if it was this so called ‘anti-Islamic activity’ that brought Britain to this place - then besides God, it would be the jihadists that they would be thanking.
Good luck Gordon Brown - that is - in the next election.

The Daily Mail: Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said that extremists were behaving contrary to their faith, rather than acting in the name of Islam.
If it gives you comfort Jacqui...
Pray tell, who added Islamic theology to the porfolio of Home Secretary?
The Daily Mail: Security officials believe that directly linking terrorism to Islam is inflammatory, and risks alienating mainstream Muslim opinion.
I suppose that the Troubles had little to do with Protestant vs. Catholic or British (English) vs. Irish, and that they were entirely the result of an airborne bacterium...either that or "socio-economic inequality".
According to the current opinions held by the British government and mass media, and evidenced in BBC programming, no one truly commits violence in the name of religion or patriotism as violence is antithetical to both. Unfortunately for those taking comfort in this belief, the world is well populated with people quite willing to kill and die for ideas.
The Daily Mail: ...Al Qaeda, which is determined to manufacture a battle between the values of Islam and the West.
Who said anything about a battle? I was under the impression that there were some West, South and Southeast Asian "anti-Muslims" committing random acts of violence...
The Daily Mail: The strategy emerging across Government is to portray terrorists as nothing more than cold-blooded murderers who are not fighting for any religious cause.
Again with the false separation of ideological committment and violence.
The Daily Mail: Youngsters will be taught about all faiths in schools, and £2million will be spent "twinning" schools of different faiths...Funding will be boosted to allow more youngsters to carry out volunteer work overseas...The Government also wants to hold more "roadshows" of mainstream Islamic scholarship around the country.
This makes me want to vomit.
Stupid semantics.....

Stupid semantics is about all that these Labour idiots can come up with to counter terrorism.
The next Big One like 7/7 by terrorists in Britain, and count on it as a given, will surely sweep these fools out of public office.

‘In future, fanatics will be referred to as pursuing “anti-Islamic activity’.
Muslim fanatics can’t be called fanatics. This article is nothing but an example of ‘Orwellian’ double speak. A good example of more EU fear of Islam.
Anti-German

Don't call Muslim terrorist Muslims, call then anti-Muslims. And don't call Hitler German, call him anti-German, for that was what Hitler was involved in according to the British government's newspeak: "Anti-German activities".

Whether he was German or Austrian, he was the leader of the German people.

Those who pursue politically correct thought are eager to morph language for social engineering purposes. Here is a prime example. Orwell's "doublethink" has come to life.
