Special Italian Police Force Seizes Koranic Toilet Seats

A quote from the Italian press agency AKI, 14 November 2007
The imam of the mosque in the town of Latina in the central Italian region of Lazio, Sheikh Yusuf, on 26 October heckled interior minister Giuliano Amato about the toilet seat as he presented Italy's new 'Charter of values, citizenship and integration' for immigrants' at Rome's Grand Mosque. "This is an insult to the Muslim faith that we must react to," Yusuf called out to Amato, who reassured Yusuf, saying: "I would like to tell our friends from Latina that we have been informed of this matter and are taking action because it is offensive." […]
Al-Quds al-Arabi reported that local Muslims are planning further non-violent protests against the toilet seat until it is removed from stores.
Imported from China and sold in Italy by the Orizzonte group, it is still in sale in six towns in the region, including Latina and Frosinone, many of them in local markets, according to the Arabic paper. But according to local Italian media, a special investigative unit of the police had already begun probing the issue several days before Yusuf's verbal protest to Amato in Rome last month and seized 212 'Koranic' toilet seats from five supermarkets in the area, where they were on sale at 15 euros a piece.

Considering that the People's Republic of China has launched a campaign of repression and discrimination against its Turkic and Muslim Uighur population in Xinjiang - involving ethnic cleansing, famine, torture, forcible resettlement, colonisation and perhaps a deliberately-induced HIV/AIDS epidemic - why do Muslims not "react to" China? Instead of haranguing Italian authorities, this Imam should be leading a boycott of and protests against China. Unfortunately, this might cause Beijing to prohibit the further sale of small arms to radical Muslims (not Uighurs of course). Indeed, Muslims are more concerned about a few offended brethren in Denmark than those being cruelly oppressed (not unlike the Tibetans or Falun Gong) in East Turkestan.

It is certainly easier for the Italian police services to round up toilet seats than Cosa Nostra.

"Imported from China", OK this is FAR more serious than a few sophomoric cartoons about the prophet. This IS the word of allah. When are the Chinese embassies going to be burnt to the ground? When will the islamic world STOP buying Chinese goods? ANSWER, NEVER!! The mullas and the arab street know "screw with the Chinese and they will rip you a new one!" A few years ago 20 or so Nepalese workers were massacred in Iraq, the result, riots, 15 mosques burnt to the ground, qur'ans dumped in the gutter and set on fire, most of the moslems fled the country in fear for their lives. Officially the government says only 12 moslems were killed, I'll bet the number was more than 10 times that amount.
