Much Needs to Be Done

A quote from EU Observer, 22 May 2007
Lithuanian officials in Vilnius have rejected an EU-sponsored tolerance campaign rally over fears that the event could spark unrest in the Baltic country known for its anti-gay sentiments. […] The rally was due to take place on Friday (25 May) and is […] organised in cooperation with the European Union, aimed at promoting tolerance towards minority groups, including gays and lesbians.
One of the highlights of the event was to have been the arrival of a so-called “anti-discrimination” bus, […] “The decision by the city authorities shows how much still needs to be done to change behaviour and attitudes towards discriminated groups and to promote awareness of diversity,” the European Commission said in a statement. The ban comes after Trolleybus drivers in Vilnius and Kaunas earlier this month refused to drive vehicles carrying advertisements calling for sexual tolerance.

The EU policy is not legitimate. The EU was not established to promote homosexuality and to wage a culture war against European traditional values. They do not have the backing of most Europeans, even in the West.
The EU policy is dishonest. It is easy to guess that they are not promoting tolerance but encouraging homosexuality and the far-left gay culture and ideology.
The EU is also indulging in calumny against Eastern Europe.
You cannot find anyone worse than the extreme left to teach morals. They can only teach their inverted values.

"Unfortunately for the Eastern Europeans, the EU will just keep shoving it down their throats until they learn to like it."
They are always welcome to leave the EU but while our tax money is directly going to build their roads and other infrastructure this is what they are going to have to deal with.
An acquired taste...

This may help Lithuania to understand that the EU superstate will make windows into people's souls. They could decide to leave.

And people wonder why the Netherlands voted Nee to the Constitution? We all knew this was coming. If you can't deal with gays please do not come here even if you are a good plumber.
