Third Night of Ramadan Rioting in Capital of Europe
From the desk of Paul Belien on Wed, 2006-09-27 11:32
It looks as if immigrants youths want to turn nightly rioting during the Islamic holy month of ramadan into an annual tradition. Around 8:30pm last night violence erupted again in Brussels, the capital of Europe. The riots centered on the Brussels Marollen quarter and the area near the Midi Train Station, where the international trains from London and Paris arrive. Youths threw stones at passing people and cars, windows of parked cars were smashed, bus shelters were demolished, cars were set ablaze, a youth club was arsoned and a shop was looted. Two molotov cocktails were thrown into St.Peter’s hospital, one of the main hospitals of central Brussels. The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fires at the hospital, but youths managed to steal the keys of the fire engine.
During the month of ramadan Muslims are required to fast during the day and are only allowed to eat after sunset. As Esther pointed out “What should be noticed about the riots is that they start after sunset. Besides the fact that they start after dark, it also gives the rioters enough time to break their fast and enjoy the traditional family meal. Sunset is around 7:30pm.” Tuesday’s and Monday’s riots began around 8:30pm.
Last night the police arrested 45 rioters. One of them will be prosecuted for assaulting the owner of a shop. Philippe Close, the chef de cabinet of the Mayor of Brussels, Freddy Thielemans, said that the authorities would continue their efforts to defuse the situation in a peaceful manner, but he announced that the police will be less complacent in future, “since we cannot tolerate that this [Marollen] neighbourhood falls victim to a problem from outside the neighbourhood.”
The immigrant youths claim that they are upset by the death of Fayçal Chaaban, a 25-year old criminal, in a Brussels prison last Sunday. Yesterday morning the authorities announced they would hold a meeting with the youths to hear their grievances about security in prison, but the meeting, which was due last night, could not take place because of the riots.
The authorities are especially nervous since the Belgian municipal elections are being held on Sunday October 8th. It is likely that the elections will be won by anti-immigrant, “islamophobic” parties. Since ramadan will not be over on October 8th and many immigrants might perceive a victory of the indigenous right (as opposed to their own far-right) as an insult, Muslim indignation over the election results in major cities may spark serious disturbances. According to a poll published today the Vlaams Belang party is set to win 38.6% of the vote in Antwerp (compared to 33,0% in the previous municipal elections six years ago).

Shoot them dead...

The police should use live ammunition on these rioters.
Thank God we have gun rights in this country, i.e. USA. One day Americans may have to "lock and load". Kill them or be killed.
Break their heads!

Tell the Belgian police to quit their powder puff tactics and go out and break some heads! Those 45 Muslims should be lying in the street with bloody heads and not going to jail and complaining about which way the toilet faces.

Thanks, Paul. I have mailed this article's link to friends in the States and around Australasia. A view a tad different from the customary chocolate-and-beer-and-hurrah-all-is-well image.
Question

So, after reading all this article, i have a crazy idea:
Isn´t it strange, that all this poor moslems are going there, to this rotten Europe, and not to oily rich Saudi Arabia, where they could perfectly obey even the most austere comandments of their faith? Or they are not wellcomed in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia had enough funds for mosques and imams in the whole world, but moslem charity perhaps does not embrace poor moslems.
Isn´t it a bit perfide?
Blessings,
ViaB
RE: Private Militias...

Ultimately, Europeans will end up forming such organizations (as frustrated Polish New Yorkers did with the "Red Berets").
However, what will begin as an anti-crime measure will inexorably evolve into ethnic cleansing, at which point the armed services and law enforcement agencies will have to get off the fence. This backlash against Islamic and/or non-European criminals will heighten as average and normally compassionate citizens vent their rage at years of multiculturalism, political correctness, loss of ethno-national sentiment, and atomization - ultimately devolving into a Yugoslavia-like scenario.
Unlike their unwanted guests, the Europeans are by and large fairly efficient, organized, and effective - the issue will be settled quickly and decisively: Europe or Eurabia.
Of course, this is the final conclusion of the multicultural dream, especially one in a place with its own cultures and its own dreams. Don't say I didn't warn you...
Perhaps we should start

Perhaps we should start looking at creating private militias to control the threat, since our governments seem unable to do so.

The cowards of the belgian justice department

Arson by night, and on top of that in a hospital! Any Flemish person would get at least a 10-year sentence for such a crime. But in the light of the coming elections, the government, will do anything to avoid an escalation. And I am convinced that this means that the perpetrators will escape their due punishment very easily.
Another proof that the system has completely lost control over the Muslim youths who already feel completely untouchable by law enforcers for several years now, as proved over and over by past riots. This new incident will of course strengthen this feeling even more.
The fact that our justice department is led by someone with north-African roots who already has proved many times to have a dubious policy about criminals especially from Muslim origin, and who has the ambition of becoming the mayor of the most islamitic town of Belgium, is certainly not unrelated to this cowardly and dangerous policy.
AEL posts background information
Submitted by Emigrantus on Wed, 2006-09-27 14:51.
There is some interesting background information about the prison incident on the website of the Arab European League. They basically claim that the prisoner, one F. Chabaan, was following the Ramadan. When he was presented with his evening meal, he complained that the food was 'totally inappropriate' (in Dutch: "Het eten dat men voorgeschoteld kreeg ter verbreking van het vasten liet totaal te wensen over.") and an argument erupted after which he was placed in isolation. At this point he was apparently still quite agitated, after which one of his arms was tied to his legs. When this didn't stop his protest as well, he was given a sedative. After waking up 15 hours later, he began protesting again and was sedated a second time. Hours later he was found dead (2:30).
I'm not sure whether this context is correct; but for what it's worth, the author claims that the prisoner was a good friend of the current AEL president (Dutch: 'goede kennis') and the AEL got this information because of marriage ties between their respective families... I suppose not too many BJ readers have seen the inside of a prison, but does anybody know enough about prison procedures to comment on whether the above scenario is plausible and/or normal procedure?
